Bugger!

I love Glenns playing, and in his prime was so cool on stage it was ridiculous

I remember the firts time I saw them playing live properly (not some TOTP miming to United/Take on the World) was on The Tube on a Friday night, when Defenders was due out, and they played Electric Eye, Freewheel Burning, and YGATC. It was so heavy it was ridiculous, 27 cows must have been slaughtered to make all the leather, and there was just over a metric tonne of studs and chains shared out between them!

Sure Andy Sneap will do a job, but no Glenn and no KK meas no Priest I am afraid. Not that sad about missing Bloodstock now

Anyway, Glenn you are a fecking legend, and I wish you all the best.

Not a fan, but really sad news and I was very sorry to read of this.  Awful disease.

I am a fan. Truly saddened by this. I am happy to see he managed to record the new album and the Priest will take on the tour and see it through. Suppose that will be the last of it then.

Was sad to hear about this. Loved them as a teenager and well remember being hypnotised by Glenn's playing at Manchester Apollo in 1980 (just before another night on a railway station by the way, though not quite so cold this time).

I can't really buy into the idea of a Judas Priest without either KK or Glenn. Weren't they supposed to be retiring a few years ago, anyway?

....and who are Judas Prist?

I think you can amend your original post and increase the font size - it happens a lot now when copying a pasting to the site - no idea why.........

David Byrne - American Utopia

Took a few listens, but I like it.  The footage of him on Colbert's show yesterday is fantastic.  Thinking out the box again - so creative.  June's shows are going to be quite special..

Here's the footage..nothing against Andy Sneap and he probably knows he will get a load of moaners but I think wearing a black satin shirt without studs is rather a faux pas.

Black Satin's very retro though, very 70s, back when Priest were good, before they discovered leather and studs. Well Played Sneapy.

I Didnt realise that Sneap had signed on for this. Hope he's not a permanent member of Priest; much as I have a deep and abiding love and respect for classic Priest they should really knock it on the head...besides, Sneap's Hell (the band) are far more exciting and entertaining to watch mainly because the brilliant David Bower is arguably as good a vocalist as Halford in his prime and has a far more charismatic and dramatic stage persona....that being said, Sneap has been their main driving force.

Hopefully Hell will keep going, growing and touring once the Priest tour ends.

And Hell are as naught compared to Race Against Time.

Ah, the good old days of Bedtime, Satan be my Saviour, proper old Rush influences, the Brim Tavern Barmy Army...
