Title: Sean's Dose of Tedium Ad Nausem
Post by: Sean on September 21, 2004, 19:26:56 pm
Well, here I am at last.  4000 posts and made a Moderator on the same day.  I feel humbled to be amongst all this exalted company.  Oh, and Ash as well.   ;D

To have been made a Moderator is obviously an honour.  A Moderator of The Basement doubly so.  I guess all that filth I was spouting in Pervy Corner for six days whilst on the Stalker Bus must have made an impression.

A phrase springs to mind:

"With great power comes great responsibility.".  Wise words to which I'll add the following:

"A deep Basement requires LOTS of filth."  Hopefully I can do my part to ensure that continues to be the case.   :P :D

Dunno what manner of bollocks I'm going to put into my musings yet but rest assured, in keeping with the other Admin and Mods' musings, I will be talking copious amounts of crap, probably on a daily basis.

L8R.

Bloody hell.  They let anyone in these days.  Carry on like this and we'll have more mods than rockers (could not resist that).

Seriously though - well done Sean, and welcome to the 'boardroom'.  Actually, with membership rising like it is, the 'workload' can only increase - so you are doubly welcome!

I like your thinking already!!  :D Anyone who quotes Spiderman is alright by me!  ;D

Welcome to the Mods group Sean!  8) Given your track record in the basement, I'm sure you'll have no problem living up to the high moral standards of this motley crew!  ;)  ;D

Dunno Neph, but it would be awfully rude of us not to at least make the attempt.   :D ;D

So, my first proper entry in the musings.

The basement seems to be ticking over nicely without too much trouble.  Mind you, Jonners is away so that is probably a false impression. :-/

Life after the Stalker Tour is depressing and tedious.   :'(

Getting involved with the organisation of SpringCon might help to ease the withdrawal symptoms a little though. :)

I've come to the conclusion that relationships are tough things to maintain.  Marriages doubly so.  Still, these things are sent to try us.   ;)

Sean's period of acute constipation is obviously over.
Now call the drainage doctor.

Blimey - more than a month since my last musing... :o

So, what's been happening?

Well now, let's see...

My marriage is over but that will probably not come as a surprise to most people that know me.  The important thing about this is to ensure that Liam still has two parents that love him, even if they aren't all living together under the same roof.

What IS a surprise is that I've met someone new that, just by their very existence, has eased the stress and pain of the last few months.  She is beautiful, wonderful and seriously funny. She makes life worth living in every conceivable way and, just as importantly, she is a Rush fan AND a TNMS member.

Stoofah.  You are a Diamond in the waste.   ;)

I'm very familiar with your circumstances mate, as mine are very similar.

You are so right, the key thing is that the kids do know Ma & Pa are still around as they have always been.  :)
