Title: RIP Fast Eddie Clarke
Post by: Jonners on January 11, 2018, 13:04:37 pm

Gutted about today's news, but it just got me thinking about my relationship with this album, and how it got me into rock music. Sutton Coldfield record Library, browsing through the "M " section, and saw No Sleep......
The cover was enough to make me borrow it for the week, had no idea what the band were about or anything, but it just looked powerful/brutal/loud/exciting
And, thankfully, the album delivered.

So, RIP Eddie, Phil and Lemmy. I dont think I own another album where all the members are dead (and died in such a short span of time relatively) and thankyou for this:-

I was thinking the same thing Jonners. The only other band I can think of that is completely deceased, at least in classic lineup terms, is the Ramones. Others will start to come along over the next years, I suppose.

The Stones, who are among the oldest and longest-running of the established rock bands, haven't suffered a fatality since 1969.

Happy memories of seeing Motorhead in the late '70s and early '80s. The first time I saw them was at a club in Middlesbrough, forty years ago next week.

Jimi Hendrix Experience were the first 100% dead rock band I think?

Nearly 39 years since I first saw Fast Eddie with Motorhead. One of the contributory factors to my deafness was that :)

RIP Dude

Ah..No Sleep... what a perfect album cover, and a great album.

I also have very fond memories of Fastway, Trick Or Treat which I think I may still have on a cassette somewhere. Not that I have a player.
