Title: Setlist 2nd Leg of Tour
Post by: Nulli Secundus on April 22, 2013, 07:56:58 am
The second leg of the tour starts tomorrow and I was wondering if there would be any changes.

I know they did change the setlist for the 2nd Leg of the S&A tour but I don't they did for the Time Machine Tour? I can't remember!

I suppose with them playing alternating setlists they will probablly stick with that. Anyone any thoughts?

I'm gonna avoid spoilers anyway so if there are changes I will be surprised 8)
Tbh I don't expect too much of a difference from last year. Maybe 2112 will go now that it's no longer 2012? Hope not though!

Edit...and you're correct both legs of the Time Machine tour had the same setlist....

Here's a picture that keyboard tech, Tony Geranios, posted on his Facebook this morning.  Pic taken during set-up for Tuesday's show.

Songs 21 & 22 of Set List B ?

It's not been an entirely static set on this tour. This was one of the variations they played last year. Limelight in place of The Body Electric is an improvement on some of the sets they've played.

:)

Maybe it's just me (probably) but I hope that they do either 'The Body Electric' or 'Middletown Dreams' as the 5th song in the set instead of 'Limelight' when they're here in May.

They've played 'Limelight' every time that I've seen them.

It would be nice not to hear it for a change.

Lookinmg forward to hearing MD, but would prefer Limelight to TBE.  Limelight should be one of the first things on their setlists and whilst I love TBE, its an odd song to play live.

Limelight was a good opener on the S & A tour.

I would rather they play Limelight than Miiddletown Dreams or The Body Electric.

Limelight is a brilliant song but I too  would rather hear either of the 2 mid-eighties songs

If they were going to bring back something from GuP it should have been Kid Gloves rather than TBE. It's a much better song. Far too much Power Windows stuff in there for me.

Multitude = 1?

TBE I can do without.
Middletown Dreams I can do without.
Limelight I can do without.

Now they're in the RRHoF they should celebrate by playing somthing that ROCKS! Beneath Between & Behind would do nicely. Sod Synths.

Not silent enough so far as PoW is concerned :)

I'd be delighted to hear Beneath, Between, Behind.  It's not going to happen but I'd be delighted with a setlist that didn't rely on all the old standards that we hear every tour.  I know they have to appeal to the casual fan too, but I wouldn't complain if it was a setlist free from Permenant Waves and  Moving Pictures.

I'm glad it wasn't done on the 14th Oct.

Baldie Pete is right about there being too much PoW - and HYF - material played. He's never wrong you know.

There hasn't been a synth-heavy (yes, yes - oxymoron) set-list in 25 years.  So forgive those of us enjoying the celebrations of the Silver Anniversary of the band at their very peak.  :D

That's mathematically incorrect, the peak is at the top of the curve not on the the downslope ;)

I'm pretty sure there's been accepted empirical evidence on here that the peak was in the Hemi era? ;)

So it seems they're doing a C setlist now, so every third night you get the same setlist.  Typically I'm going 3 shows apart :(

Maybe they'll change the rotation again for Europe?
