never watched it, not sure I could handle Lakeside Park, either the lead up to it, the song itself, or the aural trauma that would follow

(plus there is some utter shite from the last few albums as well!)
The new songs are an abomination

Lakeside Park is certainly the low point. No, correction, the compilation of 'comedic' clips is probably worse. High point? Probably Losing It.

From the other night, because I literally didn't have the energy to invest in something on my to-watch list, on Channel 4 I happened upon:

Spring Breakers

which is the usual stylised, lurid, nihilistic, vapid garbage from hack writer/directer Harmony Korine.  Fit birds in it, though.

Britannia

New thingy from Sky. I've watched all of it through the box sets service....

Its OK, but not great. Kelly Reilly, however, is lovely.

I'm enjoying the re-run of early Castle on Your TV.
Standing in the shadows, hiding from the light
Reach out in the darkness, and hold on for your life
All the fear of the future, all the emptiness inside
When the moment of truth arrives, hey, you can run but you can't hide

Watched Coco... almost perfect.
.. for an animated kids film.

Baby Driver

Hmmm...it’s okay, but not as good as it was hyped up to be on release.

The use of music as a plot device was a bit contrived and not all that well executed I thought.

Room

Rightly lauded for its two leading performances (Brie Larsson won the Best Actress Oscar in 2016 for this of course, and young Jacob Tremblay is extraordinary) and technically brilliantly made, nonetheless it somehow didn’t quite get under my skin; one of those films I admire more than cherish.

I'm on the 1 month netflix trial.

So far I'm watching Altered Carbon and series 3 of Rick and Morty.

Spider-Man: Homecoming

Ticks the necessary boxes, but doesn’t quite reach the heights of the tremendous introduction in Captain America: Civil War.

TOTP: 1982 on BBC Four

I just missed an episode from 1985, dammit!  But ‘82 will suffice (especially as it started with Motörhead), and this and a bottle of Grenache makes me very nostalgic and sentimental indeed...
