Absolutely nothing. Par for the course. Why did she bother?

Opposition parties asking for a commitment that Theresa will rule out a No Deal Brexit before they'll enter into cross-party talks to move forward. But that seems to me to be massively counter-productive - it would hugely undermine her negotiating position. It's more or less asking her to go back to the EU and say "OK, I've promised to accept whatever pile of shit you serve up".

These people - Corbyn, Sturgeon, Cable and others - don't have the interest of their country in mind.

But she's going to make a statement in a few minutes, god knows what she'll say.

So: I'm hoping to do 2112 miles this year, whether or not the state of my knees improves. Seems logical to split this up into monthly targets, and at the moment I have:

As you can see I'm trying to make allowances for the likelihood of decent weather and daylight by varying the targets a bit.

But of course this doesn't take account of changing circumstances. What if I do 170 miles this month, for example? I'll have to adjust the totals and really, I want to do this automatically, in a spreadsheet. It's easy enough to split up the remaining miles equally between the remaining months, but how to weight them for weather / daylight?

Well - I had the following idea.

Each month would be assigned a numeric weight. For example July might be 8, November 5. What that means is: in any calculation of monthly targets, November will be allocated 5/8 of whatever July is allocated.

To actually accomplish this I would take the sum of the weights for the remaining months, then divide it by each monthly weight to give a multiplier for each month. Multiply the remaining miles-to-do (from the beginning of the current month) by this number for each month and you have a set of monthly targets.

About to give it a go in Google Sheets.

Listening to Michael Gove wrap up in the confidence debate - this is almost one for the history books, real passion and no small degree of humour. And he had Tom Watson on toast by pointing out that in his own winding up speech, he couldn't bring himself to mention the leader of the opposition once.

Savaging Corbyn now, easy target but it has to be done.

"No way can our country ever allow that man to be in charge of our security and our country".

Oh he's talking about the wreath that Corbyn laid for the Munich terrorists now - good. We need more of this.

LOL one of the Labour dimmocks wants to know "how is this relevant?" Couldn't make it up.

I've just done the three album run from Hold Your Fire. For me, Presto is the best record by a margin. I'm talking 'old money' but 'side 2' of Roll the Bones is one of the poorest sides by the band IMO.
