BBC apparently falling over itself to try and recover some of the bad press for covering up Saville and his loathsome pedophile chums for so many years I guess.

No, I cant prove it and innocent until proven guilty and all that, but the really frustrating thing is, I think that history will eventually reveal that he was guilty of commiting the kind of crimes that the BEEB were trying to expose him for.

He also admitted in the same interview it could be 50 years before the Brexit benefit may be seen!! That’s generations of Brits messed up, although obviously the Mogg’s will probably not be effected in any way. Wake up people, even the liars seem to be understanding the full impact.
Remember John Redwood advised investors to pull money out of the U.K.
You sound really worried, Nick. Perhaps you should be seriously considering assassinating the Moggster (?).
You could be a hero to many....think about it ;)

I saw a bloke on a very flashy looking Specialised bike near Belper.
I'd been thinking of organising a ride to Belper and back, taking in Kilburn, for a while. Shaun, my old mucker and colleague at Rolls-Royce was from Belper and I haven't been there for years now. He's in Belper cemetery now unfortunately.
Just had a look, about a 50-60 mile round trip. Maybe in a few weeks.

Well, feeling quite pleased and smug with myself for coping quite easily with about 19 miles, I replaced the cleats in my Shimano shoes, had a few hours off then went out again. Was thinking of doing 10 maybe, possibly only 5 depending on how the knees felt but I did 13.63; a pleasing if short route through Coalville and Thringstone to Belton and back the "usual way" from there.

I kind of wish I hadn't done that though as my right knee does feel a bit sore and tender now. I'll be interested to see how they feel in the morning and will definitely give cycling a miss tomorrow either way. The physio did say I wouldn't suffer a setback unless I properly hurt myself, which I haven't. All the same I feel a bit uneasy about it. We'll see.

Very nice ride though and lovely to have done more than 30 miles in one day again, albeit in two rides. And I'm on 100 this month now.

I have a cleat strategy of using a genuine Shimano on the left shoe, and an inexpensive copy on the right shoe. That way they wear out at about the same time. However I absent-mindedly put them on the other way, ie cheap one on left shoe. I couldn't be bothered to flip them back once I realised what I'd done. Might as well just change it out for another cheap one when the time comes.

Fresh cleats definitely feel comfier on the pedals, a lot more firm and secure. I only change them when I can't get them to stay in the pedals any longer.

I tend to reuse the bolts and washers and have quite a collection of unused ones now. Perhaps I'm too tight.

Went out and did 67 miles today, tackling a fair few roads I've never or seldom done before, heading out to the White Peak round Carsington Water. The cloud and lower temperatures made it all more bearable than the last couple of weeks.
I missed out on doing any serious big climbs, but by 'eck, there's plenty of short, sharp ones out there. I was wishing for a granny gear at times.
I saw a bloke on a very flashy looking Specialised bike near Belper. Hmmm, I thought, he's either going to be Shit Hot, or shit and with more money than sense. He doesn't appear to be on Strava though - no flyby - so I'll never know*. Ho-hum.

*He's appeared. He's about my standard.

Also noticed on one climb today, I equalled the time of a Dave Brailsford. Yup, the evil commander of the Team SKY Death Star.
