Indeed. :)

Oh, and how could I forget: the solo of “trills” in Women In Love; not technically overly flashy, but just so perfect.  Just spine-tingling brilliance from a bona fide genius.

Been on a Van Halen tip myself, of late.  That 78-84 output never fails to impress.

Van Halen II

Yes, it’s effectively a B side to the legendary debut, but it still has some truly marvellous stuff.  For example, Beautiful Girls serves as an Eddie masterclass in little-licks-that-fill-in-the blanks.  Oh, and Spanish Fly...and the corking DOA...and that summer anthem...man, these guys were just incredible.

Stonking album. I've played it more than the debut tbh. You forgot to mention Light Up The Sky - cracking stuff!

Come on then, ladies and gents, let’s have yer British Open fancies.

Fleetwood 18/1
(put on weeks ago, can’t remember who with  ::)  Shot -9 for his round at Carnoustie last year during the Alfred Dunhill Links tournament)

The following all Sky Bet each-way 10 places:

Fowler 16/1 (surely will win a major soon)
Hatton 33/1 (he’s an absolute knob but you can’t ignore his course form and current form)
Fitzpatrick 55/1 (has the game, in decent form, knows the course and looks overpriced to me)

Long shot:
Lucas Herbert 500/1 (won some moolah for me earlier in the year; been keeping an eye on this young Aussie for some time)

I’m genuinely torn here.

What cost to democracy a second referendum?  What precedent does it set?  :-\
It's the EU way, Matt.

A few final thoughts...
A great tournament. I really enjoyed it
VAR was better overall than I expected, obvious errors not withstanding.
I hate diving, rolling around, playacting, timewasting.
Players should not be allowed to "crowd" referees. A couple of carrds would soon stop them.
No crowd trouble that I'm aware of (in Riussioa), Maybe fear of the security services has helped.  :-X
England
Better than expectedPostives
We got out of the group with a game to spare. We won a knockout game for the first time in agesWe won a penalty shootoutNegatives
We're far from world beaters, but have a basis to build onDesperately need a world class player
Alan Shearer and the rest of the media need to calm down

Perfect summary; 100% agreed on all counts.
