Wind River....it was ok to have on in the background while ironing my shirts...not interesting enough to make me sit down and give it my full attention though.

Oz

How did I miss this first time round? Relentlessly grim and violent but totally addictive. Done 4 series in a couple of weeks. 2 more to go.  ;D

Mindhunter

Based on good reviews and the interesting premise I've tried two episodes of this Netflix series - and it's okay, so I reckon I'll stick with it.

Baby Driver - finally got to watch this at the weekend on Blu Ray - decent film, good sound track, probably not politically correct to watch now as Kevin Spacey is in it - oh well  ::)

Gabriel Byrne has now come onto the scene to state that production of 'The Usual Suspects' was delayed because of Spacey being such a perv.....it was an open secret, then.  Shocking.

It's a shame as he's a good actor and been in some great films - Usual Suspects included, but they will all be tainted by this now  :(

Guardians Of The Galaxy

I tried watching this a couple of years ago but somehow just couldn't get into it, I remember mostly because I was tired anyway and struggling to keep awake.

Two years later and I've finally seized the opportunity to try it again and I've got to say it's an absolute crackerjack of a film; enormous fun, perfectly pitched humour, and two hours rattle by with no let up in the action.   Terrific stuff.

I thought it was total wank.

Victoria

Not the BBC series, the German feature film that's two and a quarter hours long and genuinely shot in a single, unbroken take.

Apart from that remarkable technical achievement, and the excellent real-time acting performances, the other aspects are just okay, and it's basically a naturalistic and overlong botched heist movie.

Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2

Bit disappointing; far more bloated than the first one and lacks a lot of its zing and verve.

On the plus side I watched it in 3D and it delivers on that score; a real feast for the eyes, plus it gives the subwoofer a great work out, so for the purposes of demoing home cinema systems this is a terrific film to use.
