From a band that I once absolutely worshiped and saw as a paragon of integrity (admittadly this was a while ago) literally everything they have done for the last 10 years or so and currently leaves a really sour taste in my mouth

Its just cash, cash cash and I hate it
The new songs are an abomination

Sadly, I find myself agreeing to that, its been happening for a while now.

However, these guys are still the best ever and certainly influenced my life to a large degree.

I cant put a value on that....
I want to believe......

If you have a marketable product, then it makes sense to put it on the market.

Anyway, only 10 years until the 40th Anniversary release of HYF; now that will be worth waiting for. :)

If the anniversary vinyl version features an extended run-out groove on side two (+9:48), I'm in.

What does it matter how much stuff they put out. No one is forcing anyone to buy it.

It’s all classic bands squeezing their lemons, I really can’t see many units being shifted, it’s all high price low volume sales.
Everybody's got to evalate from the norm.

I'm with Jonners. I think it tarnishes the band a little tbh. I know we're not being forced to buy it but clearly it's aimed at 'us' by the use of the (ever diminishing) 'extras' and bonus material. It's becoming a bit embarrassing.
The album anniversary is obviously embraced by magazines like Prog who's aim is to continue to generate interest from old product. How many times have we seen that front cover shot ffs? I imagine the content within contains more images that have been used many times previously. I'm assuming the interviews contains something new but I wouldn't be too surprised if I'm wrong.

Bah, humbug

There are parts of the release that I'd be interested in....the Blu-ray for example....but certainly not the whole package...

The appeal for me of the 2112 reissue was I didn't actually own it on CD. Plus an official DVD of the full Passaic show was good to have. The covers and other bonus stuff was an interesting bonus and not much more.
None of that applies this time so it's not on the list for me.

Edit - I will probably buy Prog for old times' sake. Always hard to resist a Rush front cover  :)
