I have had a craving for War Of The Worlds for a couple of weeks now, and finally gave in tonight.

I transferred the CD onto my Sony high-res player, and plugged my headphones in and way to go.

Phenomenal. 40 years on, and sounds amazing. The first thing that caught me was the voice of the late, great, Richard Burton.

Is this an album that could be made nowadays? Would it have such an impact if it did?

Interested to hear that Nathan James (Inglorious front man) will be singing Thunder Child during the upcoming 40th anniversary live shows. Great voice. Great presence too.
Standing in the shadows, hiding from the light
Reach out in the darkness, and hold on for your life
All the fear of the future, all the emptiness inside
When the moment of truth arrives, hey, you can run but you can't hide

Really enjoying some new releases:
Zeal and Ardor - Stranger Fruit - worthy successor to Devil is Fine
New Yob album is also earth shattering (quite literally)
Ne Tremonti, somehow this one clicks with me. It is a bit more diverse than the previous 3 he did.
And, one of the most anticipated releases will drop in 2 weeks: the new Khemmis album. Pre-ordered it at their Bandcamp page and the anticipation only grows. The epic sound and feel of Isolation is something to be cherished.

Stunning album. I almost had a heart attack this afternoon - Travis messaged me asking if he could have one of my APF compilation CDs. Er.... of course you can!  ;D ;D ;D
